Trace your tea right back to the garden it was grown in and find out all about the farmers who tended to it with the utmost care.
K.L.Dayani is a dedicated tea-farmer of CT and a proud mom of three daughters. Having worked with us since 2012, she owns 2 acres of land that she tends to by herself.
K.L.Dayani has dedicated the last 15 years of her life to plucking and gathering tea leaves to ensure her daughters become independent, educated citizens of Sri Lanka. With the cash advances and her average monthly income of Rs. 55,000, that she receives for her produce, she has built her own house and was able to educate her daughters up to university level.
Handpicked daily from her two-acre land, she gathers 550 kg of raw green leaves, of which around 110 kg has been used to make Ceylon black tea at our Cee Tee Hills factory.
Cee Tee Hills borders the beautiful Sinharaja Rainforest, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. The elevated location and cold climate play a role in producing rich, strong and full-bodied tea.
If you would like to help us support the farmers that contribute to making your cup of tea, get in touch with us.
We go the extra mile to show our farmers how much we care for them, through various projects and foundation programs. With CT, each cuppa you enjoy, makes one more happy farmer!
